Sláinte to that!
For the past few years, Multiply have been tasked by Loch Lomond Group in bringing the Campbeltown Malts festival to life at Glen Scotia and we think this our best one yet. Glen Scotia’s rich story of being the ‘Prevailing Spirit of Campbeltown’ was our biggest source of inspiration in bringing the event to life and we spent a long time figuring out how that should be transferred into a festival for the whisky world to see.
Campbeltown Malts festival is a multi-day event that takes place at the tip of the Kintyre peninsula amongst many of the local distillers; a real celebration of the makers, the whisky and the music of the region. Glen Scotia distillery sees guests from the industry and locals arrive at the event to sample the best whisky the distillery has to offer! We took over the main stage, branded the courtyard and placed bold print around the distillery with a real emphasis on celebrating the journey everyone had made to Glen Scotia to sample great whisky.
Due to Campbeltown’s remote location it’s a challenge to create and transport our builds and equipment to the event. This time we’ve been clever in designing scalable ideas in Edinburgh and building our sets on site in Argyll with a special onus on productions that can be used in future to reduce our impact on the planet.
It’s always a fun and wide-ranging job for us from concept to planning, to copy and design and ultimately the build in Campbeltown where you’ll find us up ladders the day before the event trying to wrestle signage from the Atlantic winds, hell-bent on ruining the whole event for us!
